Lazy Sunday

Lazing around today after a hectic but fruitful Saturday.  Hubby and I drove daughter and her stuff, a car load of them, back to Singapore and then headed back home again after unloading her things at the Hall.  It was a record for us.  Left at 11 am, said bye bye to the son who was left home alone, much to his delight, and had a smooth ride to the Tuas checkpoint.  Arrived at immigration there at 3 pm and made our way to NUS where we took down all of daughter's things and transferred them to her room.  It was a fairly quick job, all of 20 minutes.  So hubby decided to head back home to KL instead of spending the night at a hotel in Johor.  So off we went again, and again, it was a smooth ride to the Tuas checkpoint which we reached at 3.55 pm and hit Malaysian soil soon after.  A 15 minute toilet break at Pagoh did not slow us down at all as hubby was so delighted by the lack of traffic that he was zipping about at 140 km/h.  No cops in sight as it was the fasting month.... it must have been because of this that traffic was so good.  Mmmmm, must travel again during this time now that we know.

As it is, we usually head for our favourite seaside town, Port Dickson, come ramadan time as the beaches there are clear of crowds and we can enjoy the sites to ourselves.  Even the pools are clear and it is just blissful to have everything to ourselves.  Now we know that Singapore is the same, we may just make the trip down come next ramadan.
